Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Professional Fees

Professional fees are determined according to the nature of the engagement, topic, audience, duration and specific requirements.

The applicable professional fee will be communicated to and agreed with the client before payment is requested.

Applicable taxes, if any, will be charged in accordance with prevailing law.

2. Payment

Payment may be made through the secure payment facility provided by Cashfree Payments or through another payment method specifically agreed with the client.

A payment request or payment link will normally be issued only after the engagement, scope, date, duration and professional fee have been mutually confirmed.

3. Cancellation by the Client

A client may request cancellation by contacting Dr. Saibal Sarkar using the contact details provided on the website.

Where cancellation is requested before the agreed professional service has commenced, the amount paid will normally be refundable, subject to any specific cancellation terms agreed for that engagement.

Where substantial preparation, professional work or other agreed activity has already been undertaken, the amount refundable, if any, will be determined having regard to the work already performed and the specific terms agreed with the client.

4. Rescheduling

A client may request rescheduling of an Executive Briefing, Knowledge Session or other scheduled professional engagement. Rescheduling is subject to reasonable notice, mutual agreement and availability.

5. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be initiated through the applicable payment mechanism and, where required, returned through the original payment channel.

Refunds will normally be initiated within 7 working days of approval. The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the client's bank account or card statement may depend on the bank, card network or payment provider.

6. Situations Where a Refund May Not Be Available

A refund may not be available where:

• the agreed professional service has already been substantially delivered;
• the client cancels after substantial preparation or professional work has commenced;
• the client fails to attend a confirmed session without reasonable prior notice; or
• a specific written engagement agreement provides otherwise.

Any engagement-specific cancellation or refund condition will be communicated before payment wherever applicable.

7. Failed or Duplicate Payments

If an amount is debited from a client's bank account or card but the payment is not successfully recorded as received, the client should contact us with the relevant transaction details.

Duplicate or erroneous payments will be reviewed and, where appropriate, refunded.

8. Nature of Services

Executive Briefings & Knowledge Sessions and advisory engagements are professional knowledge and advisory services. They are individually scoped according to the client's requirements and are not standardised downloadable products or pre-recorded courses unless expressly stated otherwise.

9. Communication and Confirmation

The agreed topic, audience, duration, professional fee, date and any engagement-specific conditions may be confirmed by email or other written communication before payment.

In the event of any inconsistency between this general policy and a specific written engagement agreement, the specific engagement terms will apply to that engagement.

10. Executive Briefing Cancellation and Refund Terms

For a public Executive Briefing, a participant may request cancellation before the scheduled briefing. An approved participant cancellation will be refunded to the original payment method after deduction of applicable payment-processing or service charges actually incurred.

If the organiser cancels a scheduled Executive Briefing, the participant will receive a full refund without deduction.

Rescheduling may be offered subject to availability. Approved refunds will be initiated promptly; the time taken for the refunded amount to reach the participant may depend on the applicable bank or payment provider.

These Executive Briefing-specific terms apply to the public participation format described on the Executive Briefings page. Where a separate written engagement agreement applies to a private, board/CXO or customised engagement, that agreement governs the specific engagement.
